Our Team

Hi, I’m Jillian and I opened The Little Green Larder on Dundee’s Perth Road in July 2019. After 12 years of working in the makeup industry I was looking to find a more environmentally friendly career path. My dad was raised with a make-do-and-mend ethos and passed that on to me.
I have always been conscious of the environmental impact we are having on our planet, and sustainable living is so important to me. I tried to shop as low-waste as possible, however I struggled to find anywhere that sold a few select items plastic-free. I got tired of waiting for a sustainable shop to open, and after some soul-searching I realised I could open one myself, and so the dream of The Little Green Larder was born.
Now my dream is a reality and our staff are all here to help you make easy and affordable switches in order to live a greener life.
My favourite products at The Little Green Larder are our sustainable fashion range in collaboration with Jaqueline Jade Art. The garments are ethical and sustainable and are screen printed by hand using water based, solvent free, vegan inks.

Hi, my name is Alice and I joined The Little Green Larder in July 2021 but I have been a volunteer since we first opened. I’m vegan and committed to reducing waste. At the start of this year, I decided to stop buying new clothes to no longer contribute to the fast fashion industry. I like crafting as a hobby and around the shop I organise displays and draw our wonderful signs. My favourite product is our vegan hazelnut chocolate cubes – they’re hard to resist!
Josh
Hey, I’m Josh. I started in September 2021 as a shop floor assistant as part of the Kickstart scheme and I am happy to say I am still here. I was drawn to this job because I like the Larder’s eco-friendly stance and want to become more sustainable in my everyday life. I like sci-fi, Jurassic Park, llamas and video games. To be more environmentally friendly, I shop for any new clothes I need at local charity shops. I help my family cut down on food waste by lending a hand when shopping and cooking for my brothers. My favourite item we sell is the cherry sweets from our vegan pick-and-mix. They taste exactly like other gummy cherries but no animals are harmed in the making.
Jules
Hi I am Jules and I started volunteering at The Little Green Larder in February 2022. As well as being in full time education I also take part in different musical theatre groups. I love art and use my skills to create signs and window displays for the shop. My favourite product at TLGL has to be the chocolate oat milk (if there is none left it is because I drank it all!)
