Together we can be the change-makers our planet needs.
Hi, I’m Jillian and I opened The Little Green Larder on Dundee’s Perth Road in July 2019. After 12 years of working in the makeup industry I was looking to find a more environmentally friendly career path. My dad was raised with a make-do-and-mend ethos and passed that on to me.
I have always been conscious of the environmental impact we are having on our planet, and sustainable living is so important to me. I tried to shop as low-waste as possible, however I struggled to find anywhere that sold a few select items plastic-free. I got tired of waiting for a sustainable shop to open, and after some soul-searching I realised I could open one myself, and so the dream of The Little Green Larder was born.
Now my dream is a reality and our staff and volunteers are all here to help you make easy and affordable switches in order to live a greener life.
My favourite products at The Little Green Larder are our sustainable fashion range in collaboration with Jaqueline Jade Art. The garments are ethical and sustainable and are screen printed by hand using water based, solvent free, vegan inks.
Hi, my name is Jack and I joined The Little Green Larder back in July 2019 when it first opened. I am interested in history and love that shopping in a sustainable way is almost like stepping back in time, before plastic became far too convenient. My hobbies are camping and spending time with my friends.
My top item at The Little Green Larder is the Hemp & Hope backpacks (formerly Niyama.co). I like that they have managed to make a great product look funky whilst remaining so sustainable.
Hello, I’m Flora, the newest member of The Little Green Larder. I study Biomedical Science and my hobbies are music and theatre, and combining them both. Reducing my waste became an important part of my life; reading more about composting to help in growing my own food, eating in season, and particularly reducing my waste in less common purchases like makeup and household tools.
My top item at The Little Green Larder is Bad Gal Boocha Kombucha. I love things with a definite taste and these drinks are so yummy. It is a bonus that they are also good for you. My favourite treat from the shop is dark chocolate gingers!
