Who Gives a Crap Christmas Wrapping Ideas

Did you  know that at Christmas Brits produce 227,000 miles of Christmas wrapping paper waste? (Packaging online)

That along with 338,251 tonnes of cardboard packaging, 35,877 tonnes of plastic, 1.3 billion cards makes it the most wasteful holiday we celebrate!

It really doesn't have to be that way! We don't have to create all of this waste! Instead why not use what you have to wrap your local and sustainable Christmas presents!

Today I am bringing you lots of inspiration for wrapping gifts using Who Gives a Crap toilet roll wrappers.

These toilet rolls are super special as they are made from either recycled post consumer paper or sustainable bamboo. They are twice the length of a normal toilet roll and WGAC donate 50% of their profits to charities that build toilets in developing countries.

Christmas Crackers

Instead of buying one of the 40 million crackers that are produced and wasted every year, why not make your own. Simply grab the inner toilet tube and the wrapper and some string and get creative. Put in some chocolate coins in and small sustainable gifts and just shout bang when you pull it!

Small Gift Box

Simply fold down the edges of a toilet roll tube and wrap some twine or ribbon around it. You can add some greenery or a Christmas flower for an extra touch. These are great for small gifts such as earrings or necklaces.

Wrap it up

This one is so simple, just flatten out the toilet roll wrapper and use it as wrapping paper. I flatten and save every single WGAC roll to use for wrapping gifts for birthdays and Christmas. I never spend money on wasteful wrapping paper anymore yet my gifts still look beautiful.

Spread The Love

Why not cut out some funky shapes to add to your gift wrapping. Simply use some recycled brown paper to wrap your gifts then cut out some love hearts, flowers, trees or whatever you like and stick them on to your gift.

Place Settings

These colourful wrappers make the perfect place setting for Christmas! Use a wrapper for a place setting and the tube as a napkin holder! Roll up a cracker and you have the perfect place setting for your festive table.

Put a Bow on It!
